Community Sponsorships: Frequently Asked Questions
Commerce Bank is committed to the active support of our communities.
How many times may I apply for a sponsorship?
You may apply as many times as you would like throughout the year, but only one sponsorship will be awarded to an organization in any calendar year.
Who will review my proposal and make the final funding decision?
All proposals will be reviewed at the local level.
What is the deadline to submit a sponsorship proposal?
Sponsorship proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received. Sponsorship proposals should be submitted at least three months prior to the date you need funding for a program or event.
Can I explain my sponsorship proposals in person?
Unfortunately, due to the high volumes of proposals, meeting with all the sponsorship applicants is not possible.
What is the difference between a program and an event?
Events are one-time activities that potentially benefit a not-for-profit organization. These may include, but are not limited to, things like walk-a-thons, relays for life and food drives. Programs are more likely to be on-going activities and may be educational in nature or provide entertainment. These may include things like summer concert series, lecture series or training workshops.
How do I submit my completed Sponsorship Application Form and the required documents?
You may submit your completed sponsorship proposal form and all required documents as one package to your local Commerce Bank Store. Incomplete proposals cannot be considered for funding.
Should I keep a copy of the completed sponsorship proposal form?
Yes. Once you have printed and completed the sponsorship proposal form, we recommend that you keep a copy for your own records.
