The CommerceWOW!Zone - Making Money Make Sense for Kids
The CommerceWOW!Zone is a free, interactive financial literacy program that helps students in grades K-12 develop their money management skills – both in school and online. Since the 1980s, Commerce has worked with local schools and youth organizations to provide valuable information ranging from an introduction to saving to understanding lines of credit and the stock market – tools they need to make smart financial decisions.
- The program features teacher-written lesson plans that have been developed in accordance with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics standards, and reaches more than 14,000 students each month.
- Trained Commerce bank instructors have educated more than 400,000 students in the last 17 years.

A pioneer in financial education, Commerce is committed to teaching children money management skills they can use for the rest of their lives.
- Elementary school students are thrilled by the CommerceWOW!Zone’s exciting traveling Dollar Dare game show. Financial education comes to life as student contestants test their knowledge of saving, banking and investing by answering questions of varying difficulty or tackling fun-filled challenges.
- The CommerceWOW!Zone’s Junior Banker Training Camp takes students in grades K-8 thAn interactive guidebook leads them through different areas of the bank – including the ATM, Teller Line, Drive-Thru, Safe Deposit Vault and Penny Arcade – and teaches them the basics of banking and how to begin managing their money.
- Each April on National Teach Children to Save Day, hundreds of trained CommerceWOW!Zone instructors conduct classes in schools across our footprint that teach thousands students about money and the importance of saving.
